✈️ JetBlue and Spirit have terminated their merger agreement. The Justice Department blocked the merger last year and federal courts blocked it in January. So both airlines gave up the fight.
✈️ USA river cruise line – American Queen – shutdown due to financial collapse.
✈️ A New Caribbean Ferry Service to Connect the country of Guyana and the islands of Barbados and Trinidad and will hopefully be up and running by mid-summer.
✈️ Beginning November 2025, you’ll be able to sail on Norwegian Cruise Line from Jacksonville, Florida.
✈️ Recently, more and more islands, port cities, and countries (such as Hawaii, Venice, Barcelona, Bali, and Iceland) have either introduced legislation, already imposed, or is increasing their “Tourist / Climate Taxes” to help offset climate change and overtourism.
✈️ USA Tourism to Israel is back as United Airlines resumed flights from Newark to Tel Aviv this past weekend. Other USA airlines are sure to follow.
✈️ American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Airlines have all raised their baggage fees in the last two weeks. JetBlue Airways and Alaska Airlines had already increased their baggage fees earlier this year.
